QE2 Captains' wives
« on: Sep 27, 2010, 04:56 PM »
We probably all met some QE2 Captain’s wives, the first lady aboard. She travelled much of the time on the ship and it was and is a daunting role, which ever ship it is, especially the world’s flagship, the QE2, and one which put that person under the spotlight of both passengers and crew.
Anyone got any memories?

All of the Captains Wives we have met have been lovely ladies who have made interesting conversation  and been gracious companions to their husband Captains in the dining room etc...and great fun too....and of course last but not least justifiably proud to be the wife of a Captain of the one and only QE2!!

And think on the travel perks they get...... ;D
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

What a life they had, travelling the world with their husbands.

But they pay a  high price too...not much of a normal home life...specially if they  have children......but then you can;t have it all!
