That is a great photo! Bet they were all straight inside for a drink afterwards! When was it taken?

My apologies for the two photos above not loading - I had downsized them and forgot to reduce the resolution - was still at 600 dpi. Try them now.

When was it taken?

It was taken during the Japanese Charter in Osaka back in 1990

No wonder they were sitting by the time you got the rest of the crew out and organised..

As you can see, this is a photograph of a computer screen! I received the picture in a rather odd Excel format, which can be opened only on a PC and not my Mac.

I wonder where the picture was taken? And when? It must have been 2008, and perhaps not much before September, as the photos were just being distributed to the crew while we were on board.

That image was taken on 7 September 2008 in Valencia. It was Captain Perkins last trip on QE2. I have that version and a version of them waving which I will attach tonight when I get home.

Just a thought, but there must have been a webcam shot or two of these massed gatherings as seen from the Bridge; did anyone save the images?

Hi Isabelle,

As Michael said - 7th September 2008. Rachelle and I were aboard during that voyage. It was amazing to see them all gathering on the bow of the ship.

It was another of those occasions where it felt so strange to know that she was so close to retirement.

That image was taken on 7 September 2008 in Valencia.

So that must have been her final call to Valencia (for another thread, that!).

Were there any later crew photos than this one, taken perhaps during the final voyage?
