Tugs and Pilot Boats of the World
« on: Dec 16, 2009, 01:56 PM »
Good Day!

Here is a little place to post the Pilot boats of your particular port, or one that you have an interest in! Also Tugs and other marine craft which aid in port operations. I would be interested to see such images!! I shall start off with my port, the Port of Fremantle and our Pilot craft, Parmelia.

I am looking forward to seeing your Pilot's ;)

Regards,
Matt

Not "my" port, but a good video anyway...   The Tyne pilot boat as QE2 departs the River Tyne on her 40th anniversary cruise

Looks like the BEWICK.

I know I am a wimp, but I would be scared stiff at the thought of even stepping across to/from the launch in rough weather, never mind climbing a lengthy ladder up the side of a car-carrier or tanker.
