QE2's last departure from New York on October 16th, 2008 After I disembarked QE2 for the last time after a westbound crossing, I changed to QM2 for the return eastbound crossing. This evening was very emotional for everybody on board, knowing that QE2's life at sea was about to end. However seeing QE2 at speed for the following days on our side was unforgettable!
