The QE2 Story 2015 Calendar
Updated on November 17th 2014 by Alan Snelson, Lynda Bradford, Isabelle Prondzynski and Rob Lightbody
Throughout the latter part of 2013 and through to August 2014,
our forum members submitted their photos to our
monthly photo competitions. These photos have now been
compiled by
Alan Snelson, who
worked on board QE2 as a Photographer, into a choice of two
stunning calendars.
This year we are using Lulu.com again, because last year the product
was high quality, and sent well packaged and in good time, all over
the world.
Option 1 - The QE2 Story Standard Calendar
The cover of this calendar measures 11 inches by 8.5 inches. It is spiral bound along the top (11 inch) edge and has a hanging hole opposite to the binding. The calendar opens to a size of 17 inches by 11 inches with the spiral binding in the centre. When open the image pane at the top measures 11 inches by 8.5 inches. Beneath this is the day/date section which is roughly the same size. On the reverse of each day/date page is the following month’s image pane.
This version costs £9.49 +p&p and taxes and can be previewed and ordered through the following link. Click to go to the Standard calendar on Lulu.com
Option 2 - The QE2 Story Premium Calendar
The cover of this calendar measures 19 inches by 13.5 inches. It is spiral bound along the top (13.5 inch) edge and has a hanging hole just below the binding. The pages of the calendar also measure the same as the cover and comprise an image pane at the top of the page which measures approximately 13.5 inches by 9.5 inches. Beneath this is the day/date section which is roughly the same size. There is nothing printed on the reverse of each page.
This version costs £14.49 + p&p and taxes and can be previewed and ordered through the following link. Click to go to the Premium calendar on Lulu
Clicking either of the links above lets you preview each calendar, but the thumbnails below also give you an idea of the photography contained this year. Further details below.
Enormous thanks - go to volunteer forum moderators Lynda Bradford and Isabelle Prondzynski, who ran the monthly competitions and compiled all the results. Thanks also, obviously, to all the photographers, and not just the winners, who participated each month, and to those who took the time to vote in each competition.
