The QE2 Story : Keeping the Legend Alive
discussion forum, contain the story of "the greatest ship the world has
ever known", told through the stories of the people who
travelled on her, worked on her, admired her from afar
or helped to build and maintain her.
Our motto, "Keeping the Legend Alive" was coined in January 2009. It does not relate to keeping the actual QE2 alive, but rather her stories, memories and photographs.
This site is not connected with Dubai World, Cunard or any other company or organisation. The domain name was registered by Rob Lightbody in February 2008 and the forum was launched in January 2009.

QE2 Story Newsletter
Between 2009 and 2012, quite a few of our members visited QE2 in Dubai to check she was being looked after properly, and we've also been involved in multiple newspaper and media articles about QE2 in Dubai.
We closely follow what is happening on a daily basis. Updates are placed on the forum first so keep an eye on it for the latest.
Each year, we host get-togethers to share our QE2 stories in person. These can be on board the current Cunard ships, or at related maritime events. We have had trips on the Paddle Steamer Waverley, a visit to the QE2's shipyard including a trip up the famous Titan Crane and we visited the Tall Ships Race in Greenock. We've also been in Southampton and on board the current Cunarders. More details of past and future events, and how to join in, on the forum.
